STRATEGIES AND INNOVATION TO MEET GEOPOLITICAL CHALLENGES

FD Group provides comprehensive support for developing and implementing defence and security projects in a rapidly changing world.

The defence, security and naval sectors are essential to ensuring the protection and stability of nations worldwide. They encompass a wide range of activities, technologies and organizations committed to strengthening national defence capabilities and safeguarding territorial waters.

These industries work closely with governments and defence agencies to maintain operational readiness, enhance capabilities and continuously adapt to the challenges of a dynamic geopolitical environment.

Today’s international landscape is marked by significant uncertainty. After years focused on countering terrorism, military powers are now preparing for the possibility of “high-intensity conflicts” between states. The defence industry must accelerate the development of new equipment programmes (aircraft, naval systems and space technologies), driven by unprecedented investment. It must also build advanced skills in data analytics and robotics to stay ahead of technological developments.

FROM AIRSPACE TO DIGITAL: THE NEW SECURITY CHALLENGES

The collapse of air traffic and nationwide lockdowns have hampered homeland security activities in many parts of the world. At the same time, the rapid shift to remote work has exposed companies to an increased risk of cyberattacks. In response, companies in the security sector are strengthening their expertise in critical areas of cyber protection, with a particular focus on cloud technologies and digital identity.

To support these efforts, initiatives have been launched to close the IT and cybersecurity skills gap. These include partnerships with software providers, specialized training programmes, and other measures designed to develop digital expertise.

FD Group drives its clients’ digital transformation through advanced technology solutions. It contributes to defence engineering, supporting the development of aircraft, combat vehicles and embedded systems, and applies its naval expertise to the design of ships and submarines. The company also assists governments and businesses with data protection, biometrics and connectivity solutions.
